Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rinpoche was recognized in 1983 by the 98th Gaden Tri Rinpoche as a master and holder of the renowned Tibetan Buddhist Segyu lineage, part of the Gelug school. Born near Chicago, Illinois, Christina was drawn to Buddhist ideas at seventeen, shortly after which she became a Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition. Christina has studied and worked with Segyu Rinpoche for over twenty years as an assistant, a student, and now as a co-founder of Juniper. Christina leads meditations and works at Juniper Clinic.
Born in San Francisco, California, Pam has a degree from Goddard College and has taught instructional design at the UC Santa Cruz extension. For over twelve years, Pam has studied Buddhist training with Segyu Rinpoche, initially to overcome a personal tragedy, and now as a means to enhance her life and to benefit others. Born in London, England, Lawrence has degrees in business and law from Indiana University and Harvard Law School. Formerly CFO and Board member of Pixar Animation Studios, Lawrence has been a student of Segyu Rinpoche for over twelve years and is dedicated to studying, training in, and writing about Buddhist methods and philosophy for contemporary culture.
